In order to qualify for one of the Motability schemes, you must hold one of the following benefits:
• Higher Rate Mobility Component of Disability Living Allowance (HRMC Of DLA)
• War Pensioners’ Mobility Supplement (WPMS)
If you do to take up a Motabilty Scheme, then your responsibilities to Motability are as follows:
- Pay all, or part, of your HRMC or DLA or WPMS to Motability throughout the agreement - Pay any balance of the cost to the supplying smart retailer - Pay for any adaptations you need and their fitting - Pay any licensing charges, or fines, that are issued to the vehicle, during your scheme period.
