The smartmove Assistance service covers breakdowns (or sudden and unforeseen failure of the vehicle as a consequence of a technical or electrical defect) that prevent your journey from being continued. A breakdown also includes flat batteries and damage to safety relevant components (e.g. steering, chassis, brakes). You’ll also be relieved to know that smartmove Assistance services extend to mishaps brought about by yourself which prevent you from continuing your journey, such as running out of fuel, lost or damaged car keys and locking the keys inside the car.
Validity:
smartmove Assistance services are valid for all vehicles built by smart gmbh for a period of 24 months after delivery or initial vehicle registration (whichever is the earlier), and which were sold, delivered and operated within the area of validity for smartmove Assistance by an authorised dealer of smart gmbh.
Area of validity:
smartmove Assistance for breakdowns and emergency help is provided independent of location and time within the following European area of validity*:
