smart festival 2010

Since it began in 2002, the smart festival has grown every year, with the 2009 festival attracting over 2,000 owners, smart lovers, celebrities, and enthusiasts. And this year’s smart festival didn’t disappoint with record numbers flocking to Mercedes-Benz World, Weybridge on Saturday 4th September, making this year’s smart festival the biggest and best-ever single-day gathering of smarts.

The ultimate smart experience kicked off with the smart silver arrows display team taking to the track, followed by teams of various smart vehicles going head to head in smart football. And the fun didn’t stop there. This year, after asking you to suggest the attractions and activities you would like to see at smart festival 2010, a host of games and activities were laid on for guests including Egg and Spoon, ‘Ping the Ring’ and the Balloon race. smart fans were even surprised by 40-strong dance troop ‘flash mob’ performing a professionally choreographed routine to the legendary track ‘Car Wash’ by Rose Royce.

Elsewhere at smart festival, stunning examples from the smart BRABUS tailor made collection were on display, along with the first showing of our brand new gb-10 special edition. Another highlight on the day included the chance to put the latest zero-emission smart fortwo electric drive through its paces. With its range of around 84 miles, 370 festival goers took the opportunity to take electric performance to new levels.

We hope to see you again next year for what could be an even greater smart occasion.
