Purchase the car.
When you make your last payment, the car you’ve enjoyed driving is yours to keep.
 
Is this the option for me?

• Once your Optional Purchase Payment is paid, along with the ‘Purchase Activation Fee’ the vehicle is yours. 
• The Optional Purchase Payment was agreed at the start of your agreement, so you’ll know exactly what it will cost you keep your smart. 
• Please note, the ‘Purchase Activation Fee’ will be debited in the final month of your agreement.

What next?

For now, simply keep making your monthly payments until your agreement ends. We’ll write to you nearer the time.

 

Purchase and part-exchange the car.
By part exchanging your car for a new model, you can enjoy the luxury of a new smart.

Is this the option for me?

• Use any equity in your current car to purchase your new vehicle to reduce your initial outlay.

What next?

You don’t need to do anything. Simply keep making your monthly payments until your agreement ends. We’ll write to you near the end of your agreement to ask what you want to do.

If you wish to part-exchange your smart for a new one, your local Retailer will be pleased to assist you in exploring your options.

 

Hand back the car – ‘start again’ with a new contract.
Once you have paid your agreed monthly instalments (and any applicable charges for excess wear & tear), you can return your smart to us. You’ll then be free to purchase another smart.

Is this the option for me?

• Return your vehicle with nothing more to pay, as long as it meets our Vehicle Return Standards and has not exceeded the agreed mileage. 
• You’re then free to choose a new vehicle once all monthly payments are made.

Simply keep making your monthly payments until your agreement ends. We’ll write to you near the end of your agreement to ask what you want to do.

 

Extend your agreement.
If you are waiting on delivery of your next smart, we may be able to extend your agreement until your new vehicle arrives.
