FOR loving the city.

Covering a broad range of topics from art, design, fashion, photography, music, and lifestyle, Livin Cool have their finger on the pulse and have shared their recommendations of what they love best about their city.

smart is FOR urban joy. smart is FOR everyone of us who live in a big city. smart is FOR contemporary people. smart is FOR me, so they've asked me why I love living in London…

London is the city I choose to live because I am always feeling inspired by its energy. It's a city where I never get bored because there is always something happening, especially in music, fashion and art. All subjects related to my work and my passion. Such a multicultural town where you can meet people coming from so many parts of the globe and bring innovation and culture.

I love London for the music scene, concerts and festivals. I am exposed to so much music here. My favourite festivals are Lovebox and Wireless. The line up at Wireless is always my favourite. This year I had the opportunity to photograph Kanye's concert for both nights. It was great. Last year Jay-Z and Nas came together with Justin Timberlake and Rihanna. They always put an incredible show.

One of my fav music venues for concerts is the O2 Arena; I have seen so many concerts there. But I also like historical venues like Club100 and the Brixton Academy for their authenticity.

I am Italian so I can't lie I love Italian food. One of my fav places is Essenza in Notting Hill, they have the best pasta there. Another place I go to often is in Shoreditch and it's called Amici Miei on Kingsland Road. I am a regular there. Their pizza is incredible. I also like to have dinner in Soho, one of my fav areas of London at night, I like Bodega Negra a lot, a combination of good music and food. One of the best places I have been recently is the Chiltern Firehouse for dinner. Beautiful place, delicious food but very hard to get a table...

The Barbican Centre is the place I go most to see art and to do anything cultural. I like to enjoy art in the galleries, like Hauser & Wirth and Gagosian in Mayfair, which represent major artists. I go every year to Frieze Art Fair and I really enjoy also Frieze Masters too. For photography I like galleries like the Wapping Project Bankside and Micheal Hoppen Gallery in Chelsea. They always show my favourite photographers.

Many of my friends work in nightlife. I organise parties once in a while too. I recently have been going to places driven by music mostly. As soon as one of my friends is DJing I will go and support them. I enjoy having drinks at The Scotch, Bodega Negra in Soho, Casa Negra in Shoreditch, Thursdays at The Basement of the Editions Hotel, Deviation Night at Xoyo by Benji B. I also like members club like Grouchos and Soho House.

I mostly shop at Dover Street Market. I love brands like Comme Des Garcons so it’s the best spot to get it. I also like one store in Dalston who sell mostly second hand designers, A Storm In The Cup. For vintage it’s really nice. I used to like LN-CC and I can't wait till they will open again.
